Suspect Surrenders in Slayings of Four Children, Two Adults in Texas

Four children and two adults were shot to death and another person was wounded Wednesday afternoon in a suburb north of Houston, sheriff's officials said.

The suspect’s name and the names of the dead were not released. The surrender came after a tense standoff in a nearby cul-de-sac following a 20-minute police chase, in which the suspect held a gun to his head, Harris County Constable Ron Hickman said.
